BIODEGRADABLE ENCAPSULATION OF FRAGRANCES

Today several thousand tons of perfumes and fragrances are encapsulated in water-soluble polymer, that end up in our wastewater streams. PVOH or melamine formaldehydes are commonly used resin for this purpose.

Dishwashing liquids, liquid washing powders or shampoos are typical applications.

JSP are investigating the use of degradable micro-capsules that provide controlled rates of diffusion and are based on biodegradable polymers.

THERMOPLASTIC FOAM FOR INSULATION GLAZING Print E-mail

Continuous production - Better thermal insulation properties - Lower cost

These "foam-spacers" replace traditional aluminium spacers in traditional double/ triple glazing units. Traditional spacers also lead to lower conductive properties, allowing "foam-spacers" to benefit from the recently implemented European legislation, requiring building materials with improved K-values.

REPLACE NATURAL WOOD PROFILES WITH A MORE DURABLE SOLUTION Print E-mail

Reuse recyled materials - reduce environmental impact- save cost

Today's choice for replacing natural wood profiles with a more durable solution, are limited to WPC (wood polymer composites) and PVC profiles.

Post consumer PVC is not typically recycled due to prohibitive cost regrinding and recompanding those resins. WPC profiles still exhibite weatherability issues (water absorption due to the high content of wood fibers) and are extremly heavy.

Most end-users prefer profiles made from recycled plastics - JSP has the answer with a wood-like (foamed) material, that has excellent (and proven) weathering performance.

LOW-COST POINT OF USE WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM FOR EMERGING COUNTRIES Print E-mail

Water: The Stuff of Life

With global climate concerns, there are ever growing needs for potable fresh water for human consumption, as well as for other daily functions. Estimates are that one third of the world's population lives in water-stressed countries, and another third lacks regular access to safe drinking water.

MATTRESSES WITH IMPROVED CLIMATIC PROPERTIES Print E-mail

Memory foams are a very popular material for specialised bedding products. But there are some disadvantages of existing materials. Some retain too much body heat, some are not soft enough to suit everyone, and some simply cost too much for many people to afford.

FOOD & BEVERAGE BARRIER PACKAGING Print E-mail

With the continuing increase in food prices and the ever-growing need for fresh foods, packers are spending more and more resources on advanced packaging solutions.

This is also in line with growing requirements for freshness, providing food-distributors with increased shelf lifes for fresh meats and cheeses as well as processed convenience foods.
